General License

Every font purchased is actually licensed to individuals/household/company rather computers, devices or locations. Each time you purchase fonts from Aluyeah, you’ll always be required to define the total number of users/book title/website/app/web app/server/household/company who will be using the fonts

Licensee are not allowed to

• Distributing fonts from us in any manner, including: duplicating, copying, selling, giving away for free, or as part of a package of products
• Selling or transferring the license to another user/company/household (depending on the type of license)
• Allowing another user/company/household (depending on the type of license) to use fonts to make projects for personal or commercial use.
• Converting fonts into different formats without written permission from Aluyeah Studio
• Using font elements as the basis for new fonts

What’s all this licensing stuff about? I thought I was just buying fonts.

When you buy fonts, you’re not actually buying the fonts or font files at all but rather the license to use the fonts on your computer. Read our License to learn about all permitted and restricted uses for the fonts we offer.

How many computers can I install my new fonts on?

At Aluyeah, every font purchased is actually licensed to individual user/website/book title/app/server/household/company rather computers, devices or locations. Each time you purchase fonts, you’ll always be required to define the total number of user/website/book title/app/server/household/company who will be using the fonts.

Can I use the Aluyeah font as material in creating a new font?

You are not allowed to do that

Can I edit the rasterized text that uses the Aluyeah font and make it a logo?

You are allowed to edit rasterized text that uses the Aluyeah font. Your vector/image is bound by the same license as your Aluyeah font license. If you do not have a license to use it in a logo then you are not allowed to use it in a logo.

Is the resulting rasterized text using the Aluyeah font bound by the same license?

Yes, for example if you have a Desktop License and then you edit rasterized text that uses the Aluyeah font, then it is tied to the Desktop License

Can I rasterized design with Aluyeah font for embroidery machines and sell it?

Yes, this is allowed for Desktop License or Business & Logo License as long as you do NOT transfer our fonts to another party. You are only allowed to transfer rasterized versions of your designs that use our
fonts. You are not allowed to embed our font files and transfer them to another party (this would be considered redistributing the font).

Can I embed/use a font that I purchase here in a theme or template that I sell?

No, You are not allowed to embed our font files and transfer them to another party (this would be considered redistributing the font).

Can I create Cricut templates from a font that I will sell (as a Cricut add-on unit)?

No, this is not permitted in any of our Font Licenses. This would be considered sub-licensing a modified version of the font.

WHICH LICENSE DO I NEED?

How many End Products can I sell? How many copies of each End Product may be sold?

• Desktop License: Create brochures, flyers, advertising images on social media or websites with unlimited number of impression, advertising video for up to 500.000 views/month, designs for end products up to 10.000 pcs/prints/sales. Cannot be used for logos.
• Publishing License: Use fonts for 1 (one) e-book/printed-book title with unlimited prints/sales/downloads.
• Webfont License: Use fonts for 1 (one) websites by embedding fonts in the website using @font-face with unlimited webpage views. Cannot be used for web-app, design on demand web/app, print on demand web/app, app/game.
• Business & Logo License: Create Logo, brochures, flyers, advertising images on social media or websites with unlimited number of impression, advertising video for up to 2.000.000 views/month, designs for end products up to 100.000 pcs/prints/sales. Include 1 (one) Publishing License and 1 (one) Webfont License.
• Server License: 1 (One) Website/App/Web-app that Allow User to Make Custom Design/Print on Demand. Include 1 (one) Desktop License and 1 (one) Webfont License.
• App/Game License: You may use fonts for one (1) app/game title. That title may be available for multiple device platforms (e.g. iOS and Android versions) and may be sold unlimited times. There is no quantity limit for the sale or distribution of the single licensed app/game. Include 1 (one) Business & Logo License and 1 (one) Server License. 
  
• Broadcast License: You may use font for unlimited video broadcast project on your social media with unlimited views/month. Include 1 (one) Business & Logo License. 
• Corporate License: You may use font for design End Products with unlimited pcs/sales/prints/downloads. You may use font for unlimited e-book/printed book title with unlimited sales/prints/downloads. You may use font for unlimited video project with unlimited views/month. You may use font for unlimited website with unlimited webpage views/month. You may use fonts for design-on demand website/app. You may use fonts for print-on demand website/app. You may use font for unlimited app/game with unlimited sales/downloads.  

Can I install a font on a server for all of the people in my company to use?

Under the Corporate License , this is permitted (an easy way). Or If you would like your colleagues to have access to the font, please purchase 1 seat for every person who will install the font on their computer.

Will an App License also allow me to use the font in an E-Pub, website, AND desktop projects?

Yes. App/Game License is included with 1 (one) Business & Logo License, so it can also be used for websites (one), e-pub (one title), and desktop projects.

Can I use a font in a design-on-demand app or site that my customers use to make their own printable cards, invitations, etc?

Under the Server License or Corporate License, this is permitted

Can I add a font to the type library on a POD site that allows customers to use the font to generate their own content?

Under the Server License or Corporate License, this is permitted

If I create a PDF to send to my book printer, what license do I need? Can I embed the font in the PDF?

Under Publishing License or Business & Logo License or Corporate License, this is permitted.

Can I use a recently purchased font in an App I’m creating for mobile devices (iOS, Android, Windows)?

Under the App/Game or Corporate License, this is permitted.

Can I use a recently purchased font in a Flash/Web/Facebook/Desktop application I’m creating?

Under the App/Game or Corporate License, this is permitted.

Can I convert a font I purchased from Aluyeah to use on my website as a Web Font?

Under the Webfont or Business & Logo or Server or Corporate License, this is permitted.

Can I use a recently purchased font in a video/program/commercial/movie for broadcast?

Under the Desktop License, this is permitted up to 100.000 views/month. Under Business & Logo License, this is permitted up to 500.000 views/month. Under Broadcast License or Corporate License, this is permitted with unlimited views/month.

Can I print a recently purchased font on a product or on product packaging for over 250k items?

Under the Corporate License, this is permitted. Under the Desktop License may you use the font on a product/product package up to 10.000 pcs/print/sale. Business & Logo License up to 100.000 pcs/print/sale.
