Can be used for

  • Video Ads/Social Media Video/TV/Internet TV/Paid Channel/or any other Broadcast Video : Up to 500.000 views/month
Cannot be used for
  • Embedding the Font. Must Always be Used in Rasterized Form
  • Web App, App, Game, or Server
How many computers can I install my new fonts on?

At Aluyeah, every font purchased is actually licensed to individual user rather computers, devices or locations. Each time you purchase fonts, you’ll always be required to define the total number of user who will be using the fonts.

Can multiple members of my team use a Desktop font?

Yes, but make sure you purchase a number of seats that is consistent with the amount of users.

Can I use the WOFF or WOFF2 font included in my Desktop font to embedding it on a website?

No. The Desktop License prohibits all other non desktop use, such as website, app, web app, game, e-pub, end product for sale use. Keep in mind, you may create static graphics for your website. This means that the font should be rasterized/used in a flattened website graphic. 

Can I use a recently purchased font in an App I’m creating for mobile devices (iOS, Android, Windows)?

No; under Desktop License you may not use it in an App, Web App, Website, or Server. You can choose the App/Game or Corporate License if you want to use it in an App.

Can I digitize a font for embroidery machines and sell it?

No, this is not permitted in any of our Font Licenses. This would be considered sub-licensing a modified version of the font.

Can I create Cricut templates from a font that I will sell (as a Cricut add-on unit)?

No, this is not permitted in any of our Font Licenses. This would be considered sub-licensing a modified version of the font.

Creating End Products for Sale
Can I use a font to create a pillow/t-shirt/mug/piece of stationery that I sell?

Under the Desktop License, this is permitted so long as the font is rasterized in the End Product, and you do not redistribute the original font files in any way. However, keep in mind that you may use font only for up to 10.000 pcs/prints/sales of a single End Product.

Can I rasterize fonts and include them in a scrapbook pack?

Under the Desktop License, this is permitted so long as the font is rasterized in the End Product, and you do not redistribute the original font files in any way.

Can I create and sell SVG cut files out of word art made from a font?

No. This use would be considered redistribution. All fonts must be rasterized in End Products for sale.

Can I create and publish a printed book made from a font?

Yes; Under Desktop License you may use the font to create and publish printed books up to 1.000 prints for each book title. If you print more than 1.000 prints for 1 (one) book title, you need a Publishing License.

Branding
Can I use a font in my new logo?

Yes, this is permitted under the Desktop License. Keep in mind, fonts are not used as the main or only design element on logo. With Business and Logo License you are allowed to use fonts as the main or only design element on logo.

Can I trademark my logo with a font?

The licensed font may not be used as part of a trademark, service mark, design mark, trade-name, or similar use unless the font is not the predominant element of the End Use.

Can I use a font in my business cards that I hand out?

Yes, this is permitted with a Desktop License, provided that the actual font files are not redistributed in any way.

Can I use a font to create a branding package for my own business that includes a logo, website, brochures, and other brand collateral?

Yes, with a Desktop License, this is permitted. However, keep in mind that you may not embed the font on a website and (to do this, please purchase a Webfont License or Business & Logo License.) You may, however, use the font to create static website graphics.

Can I use a font to create merch for my brand (like tee shirts, hats, mugs, etc) and sell those End Products?

Yes, with a Desktop License, this is permitted. you may use the font in unlimited brands. However, keep in mind that you may use the font only for up to 10.000 pcs/prints/sales of a single End Product.

Can I use the same font in more than one brand?

Yes, with a Desktop License, you may use the font in unlimited brands / End Products.

Client Work
Can I use a font to create custom physical wooden signs on demand for my clients?

Yes, this is permitted under the Desktop License. However, Server or Corporate License  allow you to embed the font into a design-on-demand application that allows the client to customize and order their own design.

Can I use a font to create branding for my client projects?

Yes, with a Desktop License, this is permitted.

If I make a design for a client, and that design is used to create an End Product by the client?

With a Desktop License, this is permitted on a limited basis. You are not allowed to provide your client with a copy of the font. Keep in mind that all types must be rasterized (that is, converted to a static format such as images). In addition, your client can only produce up to 10,000 pcs/prints/sales of a single End Product using your design. If your client wants to produce more than 10,000 pcs/ prints/sales of a single End product then they should need a Business License or a Corporate License.

Social Media & Advertisement
Can I use licensed fonts in my static social media posts? Can I post the same image to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter?

Yes, under the Desktop License, you may post static images that use the licensed Font on multiple platforms, under unlimited business or personal social media presences.

Can I use a font in multiple advertising projects?

Yes, this is permitted under the Desktop License, as long as the font is rasterized/used in static graphics. A licensed font may be used in unlimited physical or digital advertisements, with no limit on the number of impressions of social media posts or advertisements.

Can I use a Desktop License or Business License font to design paid ads?

Yes; the Desktop Licensee can apply the font in unlimited physical and digital advertisements (non video ads) for local, national, and global markets. 

Streaming Services
Can I use licensed fonts on an album cover that I upload to a music streaming service? (e.g. Spotify, Apple Music)

Yes, this is allowed with a Desktop License, and there is no limit on the lifetime viewers for Commercial use or Non-commercial use.

Can I use licensed fonts in Broadcast productions such as TV or movies, including movies streamed on services like Hulu, Netflix, etc?

With a Desktop License, this is permitted for monthly view under 500.000 views/month.

Under the Business License, this is permitted for monthly view under 500.000 views/month. With Corporate License, this is permitted for unlimited views/month.

Packaging
Can I use a licensed font in a package design?

Yes, under the Desktop License, you may use the font in an unlimited number of Commercial or Non-commercial package designs. However, keep in mind that you may use the font only for up to 10.000 prints of a single package design. With Business License, it’s up to 100.000 prints of a single package design. With Corporate License, it’s Unlimited prints of a single package design.

PUBLISHING
If I create a PDF to send to my book printer, what license do I need? Can I embed the font in the PDF?

If you are sending PDFs to a printer with the intention of creating and selling physical printed books, you only need a Desktop License. Keep in mind, print up to 1.000 prints of a one book title. However, you may use Desktop License font in PDF but all type must be in rasterized form.

If you are printing more than 1.000 prints for a one printed book title or you planned to create and distribute a PDF or other e-publication using that font by embedding in your PDF, you would need a Publishing License.

Company Use
Can I use a licensed font for all of my internal company presentations?

Yes, under the Desktop License, you may use the font in an unlimited number of internal company presentations. Keep in mind that each person who plans to install and use the font should purchase a license. Desktop License may not allowed you to store the font on a company server, but under the Server License or Corporate License, this is permitted.

Can I install a Desktop font on a server for all of the people in my company to use?

No. This use would be considered redistribution. Or If you would like your colleagues to have access to the font, please purchase 1 seat for every person who will install the font on their computer.

Websites
Can I use licensed fonts in my online course?

If your online course uses only static graphics that implement the font (meaning that the font has been rasterized throughout the course’s graphics) a Desktop License would permit this. If you plan to embed a font on your website that hosts the online course, please purchase a Webfont License. If your course is offered an a downloadable app, an App/Game License would allow you to use the font in the app’s UI (but not allow the student use of the font to customize an End Product.)

Can I used licensed fonts to create static graphics for a website?

Yes, with a Desktop License, you may create static graphics for your website. This means that the font should be rasterized/used in a flattened website graphic. If you would like to embed the font in your website’s code, please purchase a Webfont License.

Can I use a font in a design-on-demand app or site that my customers use to make their own printable cards, invitations, etc?

No; under Desktop License you may not use it in an Website, App, Web App, Game, or Server use. with a Desktop License, you may create static graphics for your website. This means that the font should be rasterized/used in a flattened website graphic.

Can I add a font to the type library on a POD site that allows customers to use the font to generate their own content?

No; under Desktop License you may not use it in an Website, App, Web App, Game, or Server use.

Can I embed/use a font that I purchase here in a theme or template that I sell?

No, this is not permitted in any of our Font Licenses. This would be considered redistributing the font.
